Now it’s December and perfectly acceptable to mention Christmas, our minds were immediately drawn to food.

Along with the thought of gorging on mince pies, turkey and Christmas pudding, we got thinking about the wonder of the food hamper. For us, there’s no better gift than the gift of food.

There are so many great companies catering towards the ever-increasing trend of food hampers, many department stores jumping on this trend by offering a ‘build your own hamper’ services.

We’ve had a think in the office about what we’d REALLY like to see in our hamper this year. Warning: not a Christmas pudding in sight.

Just a note, we haven’t been asked to promote these products – we just really really love talking about food.

The Snaffling Pig
So you might have missed out on their Advent calendars (Yup, these are a thing!), but there’s still time to snaffle up some pigs-in-blankets flavoured pork crackling. Pure porky bliss. What better snack to have alongside a beer, surrounded by family and friends (or alone, if that sounds more ideal!). They even offer a gift pack complete with their own beer.

Raw Halo
Not only is this raw chocolate suitable for vegetarians and vegans, free from wheat, gluten, dairy, lactose, refined sugars AND artificial sweeteners, this chocolate is SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL. Who knew chocolate could sound so healthy and delicious at the same time? Their Christmas chocolate flavours include ginger & pecan, sweet orange and cinnamon and raisin. Luckily, they sell them in handy packs (beautifully packaged, of course) so you don’t have to choose between them.

Northern Bloc
Ok, so we admit this one isn’t 100% practical to put in a hamper… but their ice cream is so damn delicious it wouldn’t last much longer in our freezer. We’re big fans of the Northern Bloc range and now they’ve released their AW16 collection we’re itching to try their new flavours – hello Chestnut and orange peel! Ice cream isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you picture Christmas food, but this sounds like Christmas in a tub.

Pack’d
New Year resolutions. Love them or loathe them, even if your resolution isn’t to be healthier it’s wise to fight off January blues by looking after yourself a bit. Certainly, that’s our plan. These award winning frozen smoothie kits stand out for us as they take the effort out of being healthier. Might seem a bit of an odd choice for a Christmas hamper, but come January we know that our bodies will be craving this.

The Fine Cheese Co
Cheese, wine, nibbles, more cheese. Need I continue? Pure hamper heaven – and they even sell a cheese with my name (If I don’t get this for Christmas I’ll be devastated). Their list of Christmas Cheese is so extensive we recommend you check it out yourselves, but there’s something that will appeal to everyone – even if you don’t like cheese.cheese

And the list could go on! We’d love to know what you’re going to be feasting on over the festive period. Connect with us on Twitter and Instagram and let us know.
