In support of our partnered charity Candlelighters Trust, on 16th September 2016 we will be challenging ourselves to row the length of lake Windermere twice. This is 21 miles, the equivalent of the English Channel, and a challenge we’re hoping to complete as a team in under 7 hours.

This will be challenging not only because of the distance and our extreme lack of rowing experience, but also the fact we’re rowing in traditional wooden boats with the potential for unpredictable British weather against us.

Last year we tackled the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and raised over £2,000 for Candlelighters.  It would mean the world to us and Candlelighters if we could beat our total from last year, and we can only do this with your support. If you would like to sponsor us, please follow this link to our team Just Giving page, then click on the donate button next to a team member.

Based in Yorkshire, Candlelighters provide essential practical, emotional and financial support and services to children with cancer and their families.  The charity is formed and run by parents of children who have or have had cancer, ex-patients and the medical staff who treat them.  We have supported Candlelighters since 2013, and it’s been fantastic to see the charity grow to help even more families in recent years.

You can keep up with our training and how the team are preparing for this challenge on LinkedInTwitter, Instagram or our Blog – Please help us to support this wonderful charity!
